On Saturday, March 2, the Calgary Roughnecks were pleased and honoured to have the opportunity to recognize a local sports hero who put the great game of lacrosse on the map in the City of Calgary during Kaleb Toth Night. After spending 13 seasons in the National Lacrosse League, Kaleb Toth retired this year as one of the greatest players to wear a Calgary Roughnecks jersey. The born and raised Calgarian has provided inspiration and leadership in our city as he worked countless community events and helped to lead the Roughnecks to two Champion’s Cup titles.
During Kaleb Toth Night, each member of the 2013 Calgary Roughnecks squad wore a commemorative black warm-up jersey that featured Toth’s name bar and number on the back with each individual Roughneck’s player number on the shoulder. The warm-up jerseys have been signed by both the player who worn the jersey and Kaleb.
The signed jerseys can be purchased through this online auction with all net proceeds benefiting the Southern Alberta Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), a charity Kaleb has selected to support. For the opportunity to bid one of these collector items see below. The online auction will close on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. MT. The winning bidder will be contacted within two days of the auction closing to ensure payment and be provided with details for receipt of the signed warm-up jersey.
